There comes a time in everyone’s life when they need help. I have spent years of my life helping people in difficult situations, giving them hope and tools to help bring them to a better place. I’ve been a rabbi, a Navy chaplain, and a chaplain in state psychiatric hospitals. My Ph.D. dissertation was on a theory of spirituality related to recovery. I've also been a symphonic percussionist, so I enjoy working with people in the arts. My method is to be as authentic and transparent as possible, with the focus on the client and her or his values, goals, and concerns. I utilize a combination of humanistic, spiritual, and cognitive-behavioral approaches, all evidence based. Therapy is a collaborative endeavor. I look forward to working with you.
